Reworked Undone for “some kind of piece - piano reworks” which was nominated as “Best new age, ambient or chant album”

2023 - Solo concert at Gljúfrasteinn Laxness museum

Solo performance on Hammond organ and piano.

Performance of Magnús’ music in Sweden with Magnús T. Eliassen and Tumi Árnason.

2023 - Concert series at Mengi

Four day long residency with Magnús’ music at Mengi. Material from all of his albums with a different set of performers every night. Performing alongside Skúli Sverrisson, Magnús T. Eliassen, Tumi Árnason and a string quartet.

Won performer of the year and album cover of the year. Also nominated for producer of the year and film and tv soundtrack of the year for Owls (Original Score).

2023 - GDRN & Magnús Jóhann - Album release concert in Harpa

Two sold out shows for Tíu íslensk sönglög, album release show. Featuring a custom built round shaped rotating stage located on the floor of the concert hall.

2022 - Aron Can in Harpa - Musical Director

Arranged the music for one of Iceland’s most popular rap/pop artists and played keyboards at his biggest ever concert.

2022 - Iceland Airwaves Festival

Magnús Jóhann solo show at a packed church venue with live visuals by Japanese artist Tatsuya Fujimoto. Also performed at the festival with Bríet & JóiPjé.

2022 - Icelandic Music Awards

Won album of the year for Án tillits with Skúli Sverrisson. Also received two other nominations.

Album release concert for the 2021 album, Án tillits.

2022 - Á inniskónum (TV series) - Host

Hosted a talk show interviewing Iceland’s younger generation of pop stars. Performed their songs in special arrangements for the show. Friðrik Dór, Bríet, Herra Hnetusmjör, Aron Can and GDRN were guests.

2021 - ‘22 - Bríet in Eldborg - Musical Director

Bríet’s most ambitious live concert experience. Live band located on a custom built 7 meter high tower. Magnús was the musical director and played keyboards. Four sold out shows.

2021 - Herra Hnetusmjör at Háskólabíó - Musical Director

Arranged the music and played keyboards for Herra Hnetusmjör’s first concert with a band.

2021 - Owls - Motion picture

Scored Teitur Magnússon’s feature lenght debut film, Owls. The original score album received nominations at the Icelandic Music Awards.

2021 - GDRN at Háskólabíó - GDRN album release concert - Musical Director

Played keyboards and arranged the music for a live band and string quartet. GDRN’s biggest concert after over a year in COVID-19 postponements.

2021 - Reykjavík Jazz Festival - Hlýnun release concert

Played Farfisa, Rhodes and piano when Tumi Árnason’s free jazz opus was performed in its entirety with the composer on saxophone, Skúli Sverrisson on bass and Magnús T. Eliassen on drums.

2021 - Without Listening - Album release concert in Harpa

Live performance of the 2020 album Without Listening with Magnús T. Eliassen on drums & Tumi Árnason on saxophone and electronics. Live performance available here.

2021 - Straumar (TV series) - Performer

Played keyboards with a live band in a five part TV series, performing Icelandic music from the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s.

2020 - Helgi Comes Apart - Theatre piece - Reykjavík City Theatre

Composed music for a play by Iceland’s finest playwright, Tyrfingur Tyrfingsson. Premiered in 2020 at the Reykjavík City Theatre.

2019 - Eden - Motion picture

Scored a feature lenght film by director Snævar S. Sölvason.

2019 - Afsakanir - Album release concert - Musical Director

Played keyboards with a live band and arranged the music for Auður.

2019 - Flóni 2 - Album release concert

Arranged the music along with Arnar Ingason for Flóni’s biggest ever concert and played synthesizers and keyboards.
